After being part of the Australian FloorStyle group for several years, this was our first time attending the annual conference – and wow are we glad we made it! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this was more than just a business event. It was a vibrant, energising few days filled with connection, learning, and a whole lot of fun. We finally got to put faces to names, meeting fellow members from across the country who were all so welcoming and passionate about what they do. We had the chance to chat directly with our amazing suppliers, hear about exciting product releases, and gain valuable insights that we are already putting into action back at the store. The days were packed with inspiration, and the nights? Let’s just say there was plenty of dancing, delicious food, and great laughs shared. It truly reminded us of the power of community in business. We left feeling motivated, supported, and incredibly grateful to be part of such a dynamic group. Already counting down to next year!

My husband Matt and I have been proud members of Australian FloorStyle for the past three years. We started our small flooring business five years ago, and in the beginning, it was incredibly tough. We’re based in Albury/Wodonga, a town where flooring stores are everywhere – and as the underdogs, we struggled to get suppliers to take us seriously. We were constantly being rejected for accounts and stuck with only a small handful of suppliers, which left us with very limited product options. I reached out to some reps to ask if there was a buying group that could help small businesses like ours. That’s when we were introduced to a member of Australian FloorStyle – and they told us joining was the best decision they ever made. Joining really changed everything for us. With the support and network Australian FloorStyle provides, we’ve been able to grow our product range and better service our customers. If we ever have questions about products or installation, other members are always happy to help. Leanne and her team are only ever a phone call away, and their support has been incredible. The yearly conferences are another highlight – they’re always supportive, uplifting, and packed with knowledge and inspiration. We’re genuinely proud to be part of Australian FloorStyle. It’s helped us not just survive in a competitive market but truly thrive.

We became a member of Australian FloorStyle in 2016, and it was the best choice we could have made, not only for our business but for our family. Being a member of Australian FloorStyle gives us the buying power to help us compete with the local franchised flooring companies, while helping us maintain our independence. Through conferences and other events, we get the opportunity to discuss, problem solve and engage with other members who experience the same challenges we do, but without the conflicts that might arise when talking to industry competitors.
